Published Aug 02, 2019After years of holding out, Tool have finally added their music to streaming services.
The band were in talks with the various streaming companies two years ago about the best possible way to release their music digitally but until now it hasn't happened.
"Our obsession with, and dream of, a world where BetaMax and Laser Disc rule has ended," says vocalist Maynard James Keenan in a statement. "Time for us to move on. But never fear. There's a brand new thing we think you're really gonna dig. It's called Digital Downloads and Streaming. Get ready for the future, folks!"
The move to streaming comes just under a month before the release of the band's new album, Fear Inoculum, which arrives Aug 30. It will be the band's first new material since 2006's 10,000 Days.
